"Seniors Meeting Seniors": Greem Pharmacy Instructor Dispatch Program Runs in Local Communities
i-Scream Media's cognitive and emotional care service for seniors, Greem Pharmacy, held a mid-term meeting with senior instructors active in the field to discuss the program's current operations and directions for improvement.
The meeting was arranged to review the operation of the Greem Pharmacy instructor dispatch program, currently running at Bundang Senior Welfare Center and local senior centers, and to reflect the experiences and opinions of the instructors who lead the classes in the service.
Eight Greem Pharmacy senior instructors and i-Scream Media staff attended the meeting, sharing their class experiences and participant responses so far and exchanging a range of ideas for running the program more stably and effectively.
The Greem Pharmacy program currently serves seniors using the customized elderly care service and visitors to local senior centers, and participants in the field continue to show strong interest in the program and a willingness to keep taking part. Staff at the partner institutions have also shared positive feedback on the program's operation and participant responses.
Drawing on what they observed while meeting senior participants in the field, the instructors proposed improvements in areas such as program design suited to older adults, ways of communicating with participants, content difficulty and familiarity, and ease of use of digital devices.
Instructors also reported that as seniors grow more comfortable with tablets and digital activities, they want to experience a wider variety of content, and voices from the field asked for time after art activities where participants can share their experiences and stories with one another.
Based on the opinions of the instructors and participants who take part in actual classes, i-Scream Media plans to expand content that feels more familiar to seniors and continue improving ease of use and program design.
Greem Pharmacy does not stop at providing a finished program; by continuously reflecting the experiences of actual users and field operators in the service, it is developing into a field-centered cognitive and emotional care program for seniors.
As positive responses to the current program continue, the company is also reviewing the possibility of expanding the program beyond existing partner institutions to other regions and organizations. Building on the experience of this pilot operation, it will also continue discussions with related agencies on ways to broaden the role of senior instructors and link it with senior employment programs.
i-Scream Media will keep listening closely to instructors, participants, and institutions in the field and reflecting their voices in the program, advancing Greem Pharmacy into a service that seniors can join more easily and enjoyably.
