Gyeongsan City Experiences "Greem Pharmacy" at Pangyo Startup Campus

i-Scream Media's senior cognitive and emotional care service "Greem Pharmacy" met a delegation from Gyeongsan City at Pangyo Startup Campus, operated by the Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator.

Pangyo Startup Campus is a startup support space run by the Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator to help companies with innovative technologies and ideas grow and commercialize their businesses, and it is a place to encounter a wide range of tech companies and innovative services in Pangyo Techno Valley.

The visit was attended by the Mayor of Gyeongsan and accompanying city officials, and Greem Pharmacy was presented as part of a program introducing digital service companies in the Seongnam and Pangyo area and letting visitors try them firsthand.

Greem Pharmacy is a digital senior care service designed to naturally stimulate seniors' cognitive, emotional, social, and sensory domains through a variety of tablet-based art activities such as drawing, coloring, and puzzles.

Notably, public institutions and local governments have recently been discussing key challenges in responding to a super-aged society, such as closing gaps in elderly care, managing older adults' cognitive and emotional health, preventing social isolation, and narrowing the digital divide. At this event as well, alongside interest in these issues, visitors raised many questions about Greem Pharmacy, given that it lets older adults experience familiar art activities on digital devices.

Trying Greem Pharmacy content on actual tablets, the delegation took note of how older adults can naturally become comfortable with digital environments through enjoyable activities, rather than struggling to learn digital devices.

They also showed interest in how expressing thoughts and emotions through drawing and color and taking part in activities regularly can bring emotional vitality and positive experiences to older adults' daily lives, and shared their expectations for its potential use as an activity to prevent depression and social isolation among older adults.

The meeting was also meaningful as an occasion to introduce Greem Pharmacy directly to the Mayor of Gyeongsan and other local government officials and let them try it. Going beyond simple digital content, the team presented actual service screens and operating methods to show how it can be used at community care sites such as welfare centers, senior centers, and the Customized Senior Care Service.

Greem Pharmacy plans to keep expanding its contact with local governments and public institutions and to develop senior cognitive and emotional care models suited to local care environments and policy needs.

We will keep expanding Greem Pharmacy across communities so that older adults can access new digital experiences and enjoyable daily activities regardless of where they live or their circumstances.
